2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
We have been studying this verse the past couple of weeks with a focus on God’s precious promises. If you are visiting our website for the first time, I encourage you to read the articles from the past two weeks! Our God, that we know and serve, delights to give promises to everyone. His promises, found in His Word (the Bible), opens spiritual doors. It let’s us know that He is real and is actively seeking a relationship with us.
This week, I want to focus on the phrase “in Him”. This phrase speaks of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way to every promise. He said in John 14:6 “I am the way”. Everything that God has promised us can only be obtained by coming to Jesus Christ. You cannot bypass Him and expect to claim any of the promises from God. Due to the promises being “in Him” we can know that His promises are available at all times. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever”. Even though God’s promises were given many years ago, they are still relevant and for us today. The same God that gave those promises is the same God that will make those promises real to us. Everything is “in Him”!
