Jeremiah 32:26-27 “Then the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”

This is a wonderful Word of revelation given to the prophet Jeremiah. This Word was given during a time that the people of God were in utter defeat by their enemies. In the midst of no hope, God spoke a Word of encouragement to His servant. God shared this with Jeremiah even though things looked bleak. God has the power and wisdom to turn anything around for good.

In Romans 8:28 it says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”. I’ve heard some people say that “all things” is for our good includes the things that satan uses to destroy us. That is not true when understanding this verse. Only the work of God is for our good and to bring us help and restoration. Romans 8:28 and Romans 8:26-27 must be connected so that we understand that only the Spirit of God’s work is for our good.

When Jeremiah was living, the people of God needed a Word from God, Himself. God did not disappoint them! Not only did God give them a revelation of who He is in Jeremiah 32:26-27, He also showed them how to connect to His unlimited power. The connection is found in the word “behold” in verse 27. The Hebrew word for “behold” has the meaning to turn the face toward God and away from what is confronting you. It also has the meaning of enabling those that behold God and His Word to enter into what God is and what God says. When we learn to live this way, God’s victory will be seen and lived out in our lives! Remember, we serve a God that there is nothing too hard for Him!

 God Bless!
