1 Timothy 4:8-9 “… Godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.” NKJV

There is a misunderstanding among some people who believe in Jesus that most things that God has promised to us are to be experienced in eternity. However, the above scripture tells us there are promises for our life now. We should not put off what God has promised for us now and wait for it to come to pass in eternity. This problem has been brought about by our opinions, religious traditions, and some of the unscriptural songs that we sing. Let’s study God’s Word to see what He has in store for our life now.

Godliness is the key that unlocks the door to both life now and life in eternity. Godliness is following God’s Word and His presence in everyday living. It’s doing what He would have us do which is found in the Bible. With Godliness, there are promises for here, now, and the life to come. Don’t put off what you can experience today until eternity! Over the next few weeks, I want to share with you some things that I have found from God’s Word that can become a living reality to you now.

We live in a very confused and troubled world that seems to be going toward destruction. For those that know the Lord Jesus, he has given us some exceeding and great promises that will help you to be an overcomer regardless of what we may face in our time.

In closing, let me assure you that you can have God’s blessed assurance and His help by claiming what God said in verse 9 in the above Scripture out of the Amplified Bible, “This saying is reliable and worthy of complete acceptance by everybody.” There is an overcoming God waiting to help you so you can see what He has promised come to pass in your life.
