“2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
We have been studying this verse for several weeks now. I hope that this verse has been a blessing to you. God, who is a great and glorious God, desires to be actively involved in all of our lives. His reality is found in His promises. Many times, we miss what He wants to do in our lives because we are unaware of His many promises found in His Word (the Bible). The verse above tells us that when we interact with His promises then they will change our lives.
One of His many promises is found in John 10:10 (Amplified) “…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance, to the full, till it overflows”. Jesus spoke this promise to us and He desires to make it real in our lives. There is a lot of uncertainty in our world today caused by constant fear and bad news. This constant fear and bad news tries to control you and how you live. Jesus tells us in John 10:10 that His promise of an abundant and joyous life is waiting for us to claim it!
This overflowing life can be experienced by first knowing this promise. Secondly, receiving this promise, believing it, and expecting it to come to pass. God is always faithful to do what He promises!
