Luke 18:8 “Also Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward, faint, lose heart, and give up.” Amplified Bible

I encourage you to read Luke 18:1-8 to further understand this story told by Jesus. He talks about the importance of learning to pray in order to see things change. Jesus tells us in John 16:33 “In the world you will have tribulation”. Jesus shows us about our lives. There will be times when we face difficulties and trials. Jesus also assures us that there is a way to overcome trials we face. The overcoming factor is learning to pray effectively. James tells us in James 5:13 “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray”.

In this story in Luke 18:8, Jesus gives us the keys to developing a strong prayer life. I’ve heard it said that the most difficult times in life are God’s way of bringing us to a deeper place in our relationship with our loving God. However, I am not saying that God is the one who is bringing that difficulty. The Scripture says that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). It is God that will help you to come out on top in every trial that you face.

In closing, I want to leave you with this promise from Psalms 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all”. God has promised to deliver us out of THEM ALL! What an amazing promise from our all powerful God. Let’s learn to set our prayers towards Him. He will not fail us, nor will he disappoint us!

God Bless!
