Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”

In the current time that we live in, there are many voices that are trying to obtain our attention and trust. The Bible tells us in Daniel 12:4 “…the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” This Scripture in Daniel is talking about the current world. It is easy now to have trust in the wrong things because of increased knowledge. It is easy to trust your cell phone or the internet and the information you can find on them about anything now. Instead, Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us that the Lord is the only place where our trust can securely work out for our good. In our own understanding, we are limited in what we know. Every source outside of the Lord’s knowledge is limited. Only the Lord knows everything about everything because He alone is all knowing!

So, how can we tap into His all knowing knowledge? Proverbs gives us the answer. First, you must place your heart and trust in Him. He has the knowledge and wisdom to answer every question that we will face in our lives. He is the solid rock and every other source is sinking sand. Second, stop trusting in your own understanding and don’t try to figure everything out. You must bring what you face to the Lord in prayer to seek His answers (see Philippians 4:6-7). Third, put God first and make Him your final authority. I love the way the Living Bible translates Proverbs 3:6 “In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”
