1 John 2:20 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”
I want to share some thoughts with you concerning God’s anointing. The anointing is what separates the life of God’s people from those who live in accordance with this present time. I believe that if the world can do what we, as Christians, do then we haven’t received what we are supposed to from the Lord. God’s anointing is available for every born again child of God. We can never fulfill the great commission with our natural abilities alone. It takes the anointing to cast out devils, preach the gospel, speak in new tongues, lay hands on the sick and them recover, and other signs that God has commissioned us to do (Mark 16:15-18).
We live in a world that has a need to see God’s people operate in the anointing that the Lord has delegated to us. We need God’s ministers to become acquainted with the supernatural that only the anointing can provide. As ministers of the risen Lord, we can only do God’s work and see His power with His anointing. The church in the book of Acts shook their world with powerful words and deeds. How did that happen? They became people that closely followed the Lord and His anointing.
In closing, let me leave you with two Scriptures that are relevant in our time. John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” Also, 1 Thessalonians 1:5 “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.” Let’s all strive to seek God’s anointing!
