Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.”
Your prayer life is so important in living out God’s will. The Scripture above tells us “we do not know” how to navigate in life on our own understanding. God has sent us His Spirit who knows everything we need to help us when we don’t have total understanding about what we face in life. As a Christian, we are not alone, the Holy Spirit is our Helper. One of the major functions that He specializes in is the art of prayer. The Bible says in Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything…”. God is very clear about the importance of our prayer lives. A lot of people believe they don’t have to pray about certain things because it feels right to them. That is a dangerous way to live. Only God knows everything about every matter that we face. When we bring our life to Him, He will assure us that He will direct us to a blessed outcome.
Let’s learn to depend on the Holy Spirit to help us when we need to “Pray about everything”. Life is so much easier and more peaceful when God’s presence is in the middle of our lives.
