2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV “For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
For the next couple of weeks, I want to share some divinely inspired thoughts from this verse. The Bible is God’s book and therefore, it is God speaking to us. God’s desire is for everyone to connect with Him so we can live out His plan for us. One major way to accomplish this is through our interaction with His promises. His promises give us His will, direction, and hope for us. They allow us to experience His presence in our earthly life, as well as throughout eternity. When we don’t know His promises, it can cause us to live far worse than what God intends for us. The Bible says in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” This is why we need to look to the Scriptures to find God’s will and plan for us.
Notice in the Scripture in 2 Corinthians 1:20 the phrase “For all”. All is the total sum of God’s promises. We, God’s people, ought to be seekers of everything God has promised us. There was a group that had this seeking for “all” found in the book of Acts 17. Notice verse 11 which says “These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness, and search the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” The Bereans were people that wanted “all” that God had promised them. Due to the fact that they possessed a daily desire to seek all that God had for them, they were rewarded by seeing the promises come to pass in their lives.
In closing, God is still looking currently for people that will seek “all” the promises He has granted to us. God has promised us in the book of Matthew 7:11 “…Seek, and you will find”. You will find if you will seek God’s promises!
God Bless!
