1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-”
In this verse, we see everything that we need for our spiritual journey. God made provision in the Old Testament for the nation of Israel to leave Egypt, go through the wilderness, and move into His promise land. God has provided our provision in the New Testament through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Scripture above tells us that God placed us in Christ Jesus at the new birth (see John 3:3-7).
There are four spiritual things that 1 Corinthians 1:30 mentions that are vital to your life in Christ Jesus. They are wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. This week, I want to share with you about wisdom. Wisdom is so important to your spiritual well being. Wisdom is defined as the correct application of knowledge. Wisdom will keep you on God’s path that He has for you. The book of Proverbs speaks to us about how important God’s wisdom is for us. Let’s look at Proverbs 1 to see how we can make wisdom active in our lives. We should pursue wisdom, receive the instruction of wisdom, and attain wise counsel of those who live a life of wisdom. All the wisdom that we need is found in Jesus Christ our Lord. As we seek the Lord for His direction, we will see His mighty hand working in our lives. Seek Jesus, seek His wisdom!
