1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God ad righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”

Everything that God has done to complete our new life for us in Christ is found in the verse above. We can only live an overcoming life by knowing and applying God’s work that was accomplished through Jesus Christ our Lord. King David looked for the coming of the Messiah to restore and set us right in God’s sight. David said in Psalms 92:4 “For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.” It’s through Jesus that we can have God’s wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

Last week, we looked at God’s wisdom that we have available to us. We can correctly apply the knowledge that we need to walk in fellowship with God and walk in God’s plan for our lives. King David said in Psalms 138:8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.” God’s wisdom, found in Jesus Christ, will see us through to the end.

This week, we will look at God’s righteousness found in Jesus Christ. In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve fell from their righteous place because of sin. Therefore, mankind needed Someone (Jesus) to restore them to God’s righteousness. It is the Lamb of God that took the sin which separated us from God and brought us back into God’s righteousness. The word righteousness means to be right standing with God with every hinderance removed. This is what Jesus has done for us that know Him as our Savior and Lord. We, through His righteous work, can now triumph in life. Receive it, believe it, walk in the light of it, and you will see it!

God Bless!
