1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”

Everything that we need to know about God and how to be apart of His mighty plan is revealed to us in this verse. I want to emphasize that God is seeking us out. Notice the phrase “but of Him you are…” every divine drawing and inspiration starts with God touching our heart to respond to His move towards us. When we respond to His initial work, then great things begin to happen that move us towards our divine destiny.

We have focused on wisdom and righteousness the last two weeks and looked at how they effect our spiritual and natural lives. All of these four spiritual forces are resident in the Lord Jesus Christ. They are used to transform us into what God intends for us to be.

This week, I’d like to focus on sanctification. The word sanctification is defined as “to make one holy and to set one apart for God”. The Lord uses this holiness and setting apart for God to prepare us to know Him in a personal way all the days of our lives. This is the very core of eternal life that the Lord spoke about in His Word. Jesus said in John 17:3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent”. Through the Lord’s sanctification, He removed our sin, purified us from our old life, and made us new creatures in Christ Jesus. We are free now to experience God as he truly is. Thank you Lord, You are our sanctification.

God Bless!
