Hebrews 1:1-2 ” God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds” NKJV
Last week, we looked at the phrase “has in these last days spoken to us by His Son”. Jesus is the mouthpiece of God in the last days of which we are apart. I shared with you that Jesus has spoken to us about the great love that God has for mankind. That is shown in the very familiar scripture of John 3:16. This week I want to share with you the second thing that Jesus spoke to us…
Through Jesus, we can be freed from the work of Satan.
1 John 3:8 “… For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” NKJV
In John 10:10 we see that Satan desires to steal, kill, and destroy. We see his destruction all around us. God’s desire and work through Jesus, His Son, is to destroy what Satan has done and to free us from Satan’s evil work. When we come to Jesus He wants us to be free. Jesus said in John 8:36 “therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed”. In Luke 13:10-17 we read a story of a woman under the power of Satan that bent over and could not lift herself and walk normally. When she encountered Jesus, He spoke these words to her “woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” Jesus wants us free from the influence of Satan. Just remember Jesus came to destroy Satan’s work. Believe it, receive it, and let it become a living reality to you today.
