Isaiah 53:4 “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…”

Matthew 8:17 (Amplified Bible) “And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took in order to carry away our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.”

Isaiah 53:12 “Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong…”

We having been look at Isaiah 53, God’s great redemptive chapter in the Bible, the last two weeks. We have discovered that God’s will for us is to believe His redemptive report. When we believe what He says, it activates His power to change our life. We also discovered that Jesus Christ is God’s righteous Servant who fulfilled all of Isaiah 53. Also, Jesus Christ, although He is God, was acquainted with what humanity faces by coming to earth as a man. All of these truths are revealed to us in Isaiah 53. What a blessing it is to know and live in these truths!

This week, I’d like to share with you what God’s Word means to us in Isaiah 53:4, Matthew 8:17, and Isaiah 53:12. These scriptures are written above for reference. Jesus, our redeemer, took everything that held us captive. He took our captivity and carried it away to free us. Jesus said in John 8:36 “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Jesus took the spoils of the kingdom of darkness which is ruled by Satan and in turn gives us His(Jesus) authority to rule and reign in life (Colossians chapter 2). Jesus shares His inheritance with us. When we know and receive these truths, it changes our outlook on life. It’s time to believe God’s report!

God Bless!
